Icing for Zoo Cookies
This works and tastes delicious:

Beat 1 egg white and 5ml lemon juice until frothy.
Add 200 g icing sugar little by little and beat until smooth.
Stir in 5 ml of glycerin. (I then divide it into small plastic bags and use gel dye to colour it in different colours. Just make a small hole in the corner of the bag and use the bag to decorate).
Do 1 color. You can also ‘smear’ the patterns from pre cut moulds.
Let set before applying another color then do not mix them.

Tip:
It works better in warmer weather. Wet cold weather and you may be sitting with runny icing.
You do not need to use glycerin. It’s just a little shiny when the icing gets hard. I only use the icing sugar, egg white and lemon juice.
